Two days. Forty-eight hours. Then Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are on the call, the Eagles are 2-0, and a Soldier Field crowd is on its feet for Monday Night Football.
The Chicago Bears come in at 1-1, bruised and potentially without their starting quarterback. Caleb Williams, who was brilliant in stretches last season, is dealing with a hamstring injury suffered in Chicago's loss to Minnesota. Backup Tyson Bagent entered concussion protocol on Tuesday. That means Case Keenum — who hasn't started an NFL game since 2023 — could be under center for the Bears on Monday night.
The Eagles, for their part, enter Week 3 as 14-point favorites, with the moneyline at -235 Philadelphia. Chicago is a +194 underdog.
Hurts Is Playing Well
Jalen Hurts has been efficient through two weeks: 64.5 percent completions, 467 yards, five touchdowns, two interceptions. The offense ranks 13th in both points and yards — not dominant, but functional, and with room to grow. Saquon Barkley, however, is dealing with the stinger he picked up in the Titans game. His carries have been limited in practice this week.
DeVonta Smith (10 catches, 117 yards in Week 2) remains the top target. The passing attack has the personnel to attack any coverage Chicago throws at it, especially if the Bears are working with a third-string quarterback.
The Bigger Picture
This is a game the Eagles are supposed to win. And that matters, because the back half of their schedule gets considerably harder. A 3-0 start would send Philadelphia into the bye week — or the next stretch — with serious momentum. A stumble on national television would put a dent in the feel-good narrative of a team that has won its first two games by a combined four points.
